Clinical Associate Professor Peter Nemerovski joins the UNC School of Law faculty from the University of Miami School of Law. He teaches Research, Reasoning, Writing and Advocacy I and II.
At Miami, Nemerovski taught Legal Communication and Research Skills, a required writing course for first-year students, and he developed and taught an advanced writing course for upper-level students as well as a writing course focused on products liability law. He also served as the faculty advisor to the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and was an affiliated faculty member of the law school’s Social Justice Concentration.
Nemerovski has published articles in the Arizona Law Review Syllabus, Perspectives: Teaching Legal Research and Writing and The National Jurist. His conference presentations focus on teaching professionalism, the feedback and revision process and annual nationwide surveys of legal writing programs. After graduating magna cum laude from Princeton University and earning his law degree cum laude from University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, he clerked for Judge Damon J. Keith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. From 2003 to 2010, he practiced commercial litigation with large law firms in Los Angeles and Miami.
